Chapter 445 is a not-for-profit organization promoting general aviation growth and safety in Tallahassee and the surrounding area through aviation oriented youth programs, public outreach, and member education. Chapter 445 is a truly volunteer organization with no paid officers or staff.
In 2011 Chapter 445 was the recipient of the Young Eagles Horizon Award, an award given annually by EAA recognizing one chapter or business whose efforts go beyond the basic Young Eagles flight.
If you fly, would like to fly, build a plane, or just have an interest in aviation join us the second Tuesday of each month in the Compass Pointe Room at the north ramp of Tallahassee Regional Airport (3240 Capital Circle SW). Visitors are always welcome!

January 5 EAA Chapter 445 member Ray Tyndall left us on January 1 to fly with the angels. Funeral services are being conducted January 5 by Abbey Funeral Home with a viewing at 1:00 PM and funeral at 2:00PM. Ray was an active member and supported the chapter by serving as an officer and director, as well as by being a willing volunteer for Chapter projects such as Airfest and Young Eagles. Ray, you will be missed.
Jan 13 Monthly meeting to be held in the Compass Pointe room in the old airport terminal building 3240 Capital Circle SW (Same building with Tallahassee Helicopters and Flightline HQ). Directors and officers will be confirmed. Our Program will be Lt. Tom Mallow, FHP Pilot. Sounds interesting, don't miss it. Gather at 6:00; meeting starts at 6:30.
